ToughBuilt Industries designs, manufactures, and distributes tools and accessories for the building and construction industry. Located in Irvine, California, the company was building out its new corporate office and partnering with Caliber Construction. Our teams worked with Caliber during each phase to replace existing roof top packaged heat pumps and to add a VRF system to the first-floor private offices which required sound control. During this HVAC and controls project, the team overcame the challenge of performing HVAC installation for the first-floor private office while having to maintain an open ceiling on the second floor. As part of the project, the client also wanted to minimize exposed ductwork.
Our professional HVAC install team systematically worked within the allotted space to install a hybrid system which replaced second story package units with new energy efficient York roof top units along with an energy efficient and quiet Daikin VRF System. Overall, the project was a success, and once complete, the tenant was very pleased with the outcome which resulted in the open look they wanted to achieve.
