Oakley

Oakley, the world-renowned sunglasses manufacturer was planning to incorporate a state-of-the-art production line into its operation. The problem was that the line needed to be located inside a 20-year-old building that required HVAC upgrades. It is a space that houses multiple trades, and a new system would help to both modernize the HVAC equipment and make the shared industrial work facility work for everyone.

Within this 200,000 square-foot building, the professional HVAC design-build team at Contemporary Heating & Air Conditioning worked with Oakley’s manufacturing leadership, collaborating to design and build the new 5-minute line for production of sunglass frames. All the equipment and ductwork installed was made to Oakley specifications and met the design intent, allowing Oakley to produce frames at a much quicker pace than the older equipment. In the end, Contemporary completed the project on time, enabling Oakley to start its new state-of-the-art production line right on schedule.
